DjangoCon Sprints Information

This years' sprints are hosted by Urban Airship again at the Portland Incubator Experiment. The address is:

1227 NW Davis St Portland, OR 97201 Google Maps, with directions

Hours

We'll open up the space at 9 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and we'll go late on Friday and Saturday (until the last person with a key wants to go to sleep, probably). On Sunday we'll close up at 5 or 6 PM.

Directions from the Doubletree Hotel

Take the Red or Blue line MAX train west from the hotel to the last stop in the free rail zone, Galleria/SW 10th Ave MAX Station. Walk North on SW 10th Ave past W Burnside St and Powell's books to NW Davis St, and then walk West two blocks to NW 12th St. PIE is on the NW corner, directly facing the North Face store.

What should I bring?

In addition to your computer, consider bringing:

  • An extra power strip if you have one (with your name on it)
  • A reusable water bottle
  • A reusable coffee cup, if you're a coffee drinker.

Food & Breakfast nearby

On the way from the MAX:

  • The famous Stumptown Coffee has a branch at the Ace Hotel: http://goo.gl/maps/FnEg
  • Kenny & Zuke's deli, right next door to Stumptown, has great bagels and other breakfast food.
  • Caffe Umbria, at NW 12th & NW Everett, is the closest coffee shop, with pastries and such.
  • Spella Caffé is a wonderful coffee in a cart at SW 9th & SW Alder, also on the way from the MAX.
